Logic-Based Auditing

Changes in clients and their operations, in business relationships, and in the marketplace should lead to changes in what and how practitioners provide attest services.  Unfortunately, CPAs aren’t marketing or using these changes profitably because they use commodity pricing strategies tied to traditional views of the audit process.  However, there is an alternative.  A logic-based audit tied to your already extensive client knowledge will yield effective and efficient audit engagements.  If you are using a traditional approach in your practice, we guarantee that we can show you how to achieve at least 20% increases in audit profitability in the first year your firm implements our approach. We have had one firm experience over a 50% increase in audit profitability in one year.

This training is presented by Making Auditors Proficient, inc. (MAP). All of our trainers have extensive experience re-engineering audit practices throughout the United States.  Their structured approach combines efficiency assessments with training and implementation support.

2008 LOGIC-BASED AUDITING WITH DATA MINING - 2 days

This is our latest and best offering.  You will not find another course similar to this one.  It combines logic-based auditing, the new risk-based standards and IDEA training.  This is the best training available today.  It is also the most logical training available. In the past many have been trained in auditing and many have been trained in IDEA, but never before have you had training that not only does the above, but it also shows the Audit Management Team the power of IDEA.  Not only that, in this program we will actually use one of your clients for the training.  This will require extracting data from your client system for us to use during the training.  We will show you how to perform the most effective and efficient audit possible!

This course uses your client information to show you how to implement the new risk-based audit standards and become a proficient auditor. To do this we will show you how to eliminate the checklist mentality and increase your realization on all audits. You let us know what client you want to cover and we will cover it. We will also train a limited number of people how to use IDEA and the others will see the POWER of IDEA and where to use it.

As if this were not enough we will also show you how to use the new PPC forms for risk-based auditing.  If you are not using PPC we would be glad to tailor the materials to incorporate whatever training aids you are using.
